Mosur Ali Khan

I am 93 years old and I am the grandfather of the family.
Every day I start by getting up at around 6:00. After I
have washed I have my morning prayer. At 6:30 I have my
breakfast for breakfast I usually have patita bhat which
is cooked by Zohra Begum. At 7:00 I start fishing in the
river to the west of our house. Fishing in the river is a
lot easier to do than it is to do in the sea. In the river
we catch the ilish or Hilsa Shad fish, they are very common
and fetch a good price at the market. I normally go along
my son and his 12 year old son to. Adbul is always very
excited when we go fishing. At 11:00 We go home and I sit
down in the house and mend any nets that have been ripped.
At 1:00 I have my lunch I have rice and fish and sometimes
I have crab. After lunch I pray. At 4:00 I go to the
market with my son. He sells any surplus fish and buys
any essentials. While I go and drink tea with my friends.
I always enjoy this part of the day because I can just sit
and let the world go by while I drink my tea. At sunset
(6:30) I return home with my son and we talk about what
he sold at the market and how much money he made. When I
get home I usually have a nap before dinner. At 8:00 we
have dinner, for dinner I have rice and Dal (lentils,
garlic, chilli peppers, turmeric,
herbs and spices). At about 9:00 get to bed.
