Rules
Here at Bounce we have a few rules to help everyone get along. We've structured the rules into two tiers. First we have a few basic rules that apply to the whole server, whether the room you're chatting in is one of Bounce's main rooms, or a room created by someone else on the server. Next are the rules that apply within the main Bounce rooms. Other rooms on the server that are run by other people may have their own rules set by the channel owner.
Server-wide rules
These rules apply no matter where you are on the server:
- Be respectful to other chatters and to the hosts. The rules and hosts are there to make Bounce a friendly place for everyone.
- If you are warned by a host, it's because they have a good reason. Please respect their wishes and stop what you were doing that prompted the warning. Please note that if you continue the behaviour you will be kicked and possibly banned from the room (or even the server).
- Try to avoid using offensive nicks.
- No illegal activity.
- Warez and Pornography are forbidden and may result in your immediate removal from the network.
Rules for the main Bounce channels
These rules apply in the main Bounce channels (these are the channels published on the website).
- Don't use scripts.
- Try to avoid using colours, bold, inverse and underline text.
- No bots, unless explicitly authorised by the Bounce admin.
- Don't type entirly in capital letters (this is normally seen as shouting on IRC).
- No offensive behaviour (e.g. racism, harassment) - remember, use your discretion about what you say or do so the hosts don't have to use theirs :).
- No flooding - that is, sending several lines in a short space of time (e.g. 4 lines in 5 seconds would be considered flooding).
- Don't repeat the same line over and over again.
- No swearing or implied swearing (e.g. f**k). If you know what the word is meant to be, it isn't allowed.
- The majority of users on the server are English, so please talk in English on the Bounce channels.

Remember the idea is to have a nice, fun chat that everyone can enjoy!
